Are you looking for a salad dressing that is creamy, low in fat, and easy to make? This tahini-based dressing has a rich, unique flavor that goes great with just about everything. Try it next time you want to whip up a batch of quick home-made dressing:
a
2 tablespoons tahini paste
2 tablespoons mellow white miso (I use Miso Master brand)
1/2 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 teaspoon each of dried oregano and basil (or use your favorite dried herbs)
fresh black pepper to taste
a
Whisk the first four ingredients together in a bowl until a creamy consistency is reached. Stir in herbs of choice and black pepper. Allow to sit in the fridge for the flavors to meld, or just eat right away.

This dressing went great with a salad of cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers, red onions, and chickpeas. It is also delicious as a sauce over steamed or sauteed veggies, such as zucchini or broccoli. Get creative and add as many different herbs as you like, or add a bit of lemon juice for a citrusy flavor. I just can’t get enough of it!
