Query by Green.Vegan:
How many goes did it take to grow to be vegan?
I was a vegetarian for six months then attempted to go vegan, i failed the first three instances since I relapsed for chocolate. It took me 3 goes to become vegan because I located yummy hazelnut soy chocolate and fake cheesy cheeses. Ive been a vegan for practically a year and I only now know how poor it is to consume dairy by the implies they obtain it. How numerous attempts did it take to go vegan for you?

1st, I applaud you for not giving up immediately after relapsing! As well numerous fall at a hurdle and walk away, not trying once more. Effectively done
For me, it only took the one go. I was eight even though and my Veggie parents were supportive of my choice, so they were capable to give me Vegan meals and make positive I did not accidentally consume something that was not Vegan.

I was a vegetarian for a year, then I went vegan for a little over 7 months, but during a pressuring situation while visiting a country that definitely wasn’t vegan friendly, I caved in and went back to vegetarian for a week. I couldn’t live with myself after doing that and so I went back to vegan with a much stronger mindset. I’m hoping to keep it that way for the rest of my life. Because of this I count those 7 months only as an attempt, and I don’t ever plan on giving in this time. So I’d say I had 1 strong attempt before I could really get into the rigid mindset I’m in now.

I managed it in one shaky go. I lived off fake products for a few weeks, like soy cheeses, etc. My diet was really unhealthy cos I let myself eat soy ice cream whenever I wanted. I lived off comfort foods too, like vegan mac and cheese.
Don’t worry, I ate healthily after the first few weeks. It just took a while. I have screwed up a few times though. And it turns out Starbucks hot chocolate with soy milk isn’t vegan. That really upset me.

Four times. Tried it as a teenager and gave it up as soon as that phase was over. Tried it a year ago and among planning a move, a wedding, find a new job, and finding a new place to live…I just could not keep up the stress of trying to learn a new way of living and caved. Then I went vegan after I moved, got married, found a job etc. and all that stress was gone. Caved in for cheese because I thought eating one little piece couldn’t hurt anything (but it did) and then grimly climbed back on the wagon swearing to never fall of again.
My husband, on the other hand, went vegan and just stayed vegan.
