Usually, although not always. It depends on what you eat and how much. If you eat lots of vegetarian cupcakes and other sweets or processed food, then you probably won’t loose weight even though it contains no animal byproducts. However, in general most vegan or vegetarian food is naturally low in fat, particularly if you consume fruits and veggies in their raw state.

I hate to ruin everyones respone but no. In fact Vegetarians are healthier because we are not held down by meat and fat. Though us vegetarians may gain weight because we need to eat lots of protein and extra stuff to stay healthy.
