Question by bessierush:
Can you be a vegetarian if you hate beans and lentils?
I am seriously taking into consideration becoming a lacto-vegetarian due to some stomach and digestive wellness difficulties I have been getting. My only difficulty is that I completely hate beans (canned, not green or waxed) and lentils. I just locate the texture is disgusting and I have a truly difficult time eating them (throughout and right after). Does a vegetarian diet program have to consist of these veggies/legumes, or can I consume a thing else as a substitute? Thanks!

Answer by SWEETXXHaku_LuverXXSWEET
i believe yu can
Yu can consume tofu and lots of fruits and salads
crackers and cheese would be nice

Answer by Kev P
attempt soya and tofu as substitutes and experiment with the veg you can get, there is a lot of choice out there.

Answer by dianesomeone
effectively if you actually hate beans and lentils it might possibly be hard to get enough protein…..I guess possibly tofu but you do not want to over do the soy thing either…..

Answer by Darkwolf
I think about some beans might possibly be stored/cooked in animal fats.
(baked beans, and so forth.)

Answer by da_ace
all beans are vegatarian

Answer by mrfroo
Basically how anal retentive the author of the recipe is. JUST KIDDING!

Vegetarian beans (I usually see this from lines of merchandise that supply items made with meat or meat items and then just beans) are beans that are manufactured purely with vegetable goods.

A very good instance of this would be Rosarita refried beans. They give their standard edition, which I think is produced with lard and then they have a vegetarian version.

Most beans have their ingredients on the can, and if you do not see Lard or beef tallow or some sort of meat broth, they are vegetarian.
